End of Nowhere
Portrait of Stuart Braithwaite
On December 3, 2022, WD commissioned me to create this portrait of Stuart Braithwaite for the “End of Nowhere” project. Inspired by his experimental, textured sound, I used fluid, guitar-string-like lines and a vivid palette to capture its energy. I later expanded the piece into an animated version with MidJourney, adding movement to reflect the music’s dynamic flow. #Handdrawn #Midjourney #ArtDirection

AI MADE ME DO IT
After wrapping up the SIFF project, I started messing around with AI to make some vintage-style characters, just for fun, like they’d pop up in digital wild postings.🤷 #ArtDirection

SIFF Bumper eXPLORATIONS
For the 2025 SIFF bumpers, we leaned into a playful movie-themed postcard concept. Each bumper starts with a vintage-style postcard that hints at a famous film through the written message—kind of like a riddle. Then the card flips over to reveal the answer: an iconic scene from that movie.
We also tucked little Easter eggs into the design, subtle visual clues that become obvious once the postcard flips. All of this is wrapped in a vacation vibe, tying back to the overall campaign theme of a vintage resort getaway.
We explored a bunch of visual styles, but ultimately landed on a retro collage-style look inspired by mid-century modern design and classic travel postcards. The final style feels cinematic, handmade, and a little surreal, in the best way. Think pop art meets old-school travel posters, with lots of texture and personality. It’s nostalgic, playful, and totally on-theme.

FunDoody
In 2024, a few of us at WongDoody teamed up to create an internal video project just for fun. Our goal was to experiment with tools and build a quick, efficient workflow while also preparing FOOH concepts for future clients. Yoyo Dong, our 3D Lead, introduced the Byplay app, which turned out to be a perfect tool for this exploration. In the end, WongDoody embraced the final visual and the playful “high-five” concept, as it captured positive energy and reflected the company’s spirit so well that it became an official project. #Byplay #ArtDirection

Poster Exploration
We went with a vintage resort theme and kicked off some poster explorations. To spark ideas fast, I played around with MidJourney and quickly built a stash of fun visuals — voilà! (It ended up super minimal in the end, but the ride was totally worth it!) #Midjourney #ArtDirection

WHAT THE W!
GET CREATIVE WITH THE W
WongDoody has a fun way of playing with their W logo, so I gave it a try too. Adding a fluid, organic vibe to reflect how our culture works naturally and closely with people.🤝 #ArtDirection

SIFF 2025
CINE-WIN
I was part of SIFF 2023 and was honored to be invited back for the SIFF 2025 project as well. For this round, I explored a modern carnival concept, imagining playful real-life installations that would engage visitors in unexpected ways. Although the idea wasn’t selected, I still love the concept and am glad to share it here. #ArtDirection

VALENTINE’s day
LOVE GLOWS
This concept captures how T-Mobile celebrates Valentine’s Day by channeling connection and positivity through bold repetition and vibrant magenta energy. With its festive rhythm and iconic feel, it brings the brand’s spirit to life—perfect for digital, social, and in-store experiences. #ArtDirection

Mother’s Day
BETTER TOGETHER
For T-Mobile’s 2023 Mother’s Day campaign, I led art direction with the goal of making the offers feel fresh and appealing for both new and existing customers. The theme was Modern Moms—rooted in inclusivity and realness. One of the key visual ideas I crafted played on the concept of togetherness in our moms, using bright, branded florals in additive color to inject energy and warmth into the storytelling. It was all about celebrating modern motherhood in a bold, honest way. #ArtDirection
VISUAL DIRECTION
To celebrate Mother's Day, we're incorporating a beautiful design element of colorful flowers that radiate around the text and imagery. These vibrant flowers will be designed in a flat/vector style, with translucent violets and blues, and white accent lines. As the different parts of the flowers overlap, they will create a beautiful glow that represents togetherness. The flowers will slowly animate, growing and swaying in a graceful manner in each frame.

international women’s day
WongDoody asked me to whip up a quick social video for International Women’s Day, and gave me just one week (thanks, team!). There was zero time for fancy concepts or style frames, so I just dove in and made it up as I went. Since I love He-Man, I invented SheMan: a hero who crushes bias with a blast of WongDoody’s magical green juice. Short, silly, and stress-free, just the way I like it! #ArtDirection

Times Square T-Mobile Anamorphic Screen
In 2021, we tackled the challenge of creating an in-house anamorphic screen for T-Mobile, just as d’strict’s Wave made this technique known. After thoughtful planning, we brought the illusion to life. #ArtDirection
The goal was to create anamorphic visuals that look 3D from the right viewpoint. We chose the best camera angle, built a matching 3D scene, and linked the render to a projection camera, creating separate left and right versions with parallel cameras. Despite limited data, we fine-tuned the screen angles for accuracy. It was a challenging but satisfying project.

5G PsychoSpace
5G is a hot topic right now, and I’ve been exploring motion language that goes beyond the usual speed lines. I wanted to visually express the product’s core qualities, energy and speed while also creating a sense of excitement that draws the audience in. That’s when I came across Takashi Ohashi’s Station ID Shapeshifter. His approach to motion and design sparked inspiration, leading me to experiment with a similar visual language as a creative direction for 5G. #ArtDirection

Converse Logo Resolve
I wanted to give the Converse logo more energy and a modern edge, inspired by the brand’s commitment to sustainability. I used an embroidery machine for dynamic motion and captured it in close-up. For a cleaner, sharper look, I swapped a plain canvas background for a reflective, modern texture and added lighting and bokeh to avoid a dated feel. Everything was done in Photoshop. #ArtDirection

a fresh face in hell
World Famous hit me up to play around with some logo ideas for A Fresh Face In Hell. There wasn’t a ton of info—just that they were feeling something liquid or organic. Sooo… here we go! ✨

nasa
I created these frames while studying design, imagining a satellite camera view layered with HUD elements and geometric shapes. Thin typography, contrasting dark and bright tones, and subtle decorative accents convey a sleek, futuristic mood. The board presents three style variations, each with a unique color palette.

Diesel
I used Mental Ray for years due to its reliable quality, but after seeing the impressive results Arnold could achieve, I shifted my focus to mastering it. Arnold’s natural, striking renders immediately convinced me it was worth the effort.
For a personal project, I tested a few frames in Maya with Arnold and kept post-processing minimal — the renderer’s quality spoke for itself. #ArtDirection

animation domination
We mixed big, blocky 3D type with classic 2D cartoon characters and real-world backgrounds to keep things fun and chaotic. The goal was to match the wild, over-the-top vibe of late-night animated TV—loud, playful, and totally unfiltered. #ArtDirection

premera
We used Maya to put together the styleframes and bring our mocap data to life through fully rigged characters. On top of that, we built out props, environments, and backgrounds to complete the world around them.

big in japan
Big in Japan is the title sequence for a film about a tennis pro chasing fame in Japan. We wanted the visuals to match that bold, electric energy—so we leaned into 3D laser lights, particles, smoke, and lens flares to really dial up the vibe. It’s all about capturing that flashy, high-energy dream of "making it big."
