Short Synopsis

CTRL+Z MY LIFE is an experimental animated short about a creative professional who reaches an emotional breaking point and is pulled into BloomSpace, a pixel-based world where power belongs not to thought, but to voice. Silence leaves the world barren; expression opens new paths. Guided by Banny, Elle confronts fear and the silence she has carried for years, until the boundary between BloomSpace and reality begins to dissolve.

Production Background

Created in November 2025 with co-director Eric Edwards using Veo, Whisk, Weavy, and Nano Banana. The project explored how emerging AI tools could support cinematic storytelling while preserving clear creative direction.

Behind the Scenes

Director's Statement

CTRL+Z MY LIFE offers no easy answers. It begins with something many creative professionals know well: how relationships are structured, how power is held, and how emotions move within those systems. In places shaped by hierarchy, many people learn to hide their voices. Some call it professionalism. Some call it staying safe. But in a world increasingly shaped by AI, should we simply continue working the way we always have?

Through Elle's journey into BloomSpace, a pixelated world built from buried emotions and forgotten memories, the film asks this question of anyone who has ever made themselves smaller inside a system of power.

Rather than offering answers, CTRL+Z MY LIFE leaves the question open, one worth returning to long after the film ends.
